Operation Backpack

A straightforward solution to assist in challenging times.

Fighting poverty and its impacts and helping kids be all they can be are at the core of the United Way in Durham. A critical piece of this is school preparedness. Operation Backpack is designed to help those children and their families who are most in need with the essential supplies to start the school year.

The United Way in Durham is uniquely positioned to work with our community and agency partners to ensure that your good intentions are put to best effect.

You have a chance to do something positive for those who are least able and are most vulnerable to the impacts we all can see.

Please join us. You will make a difference in the lives of many in Durham Region. The form below is quick, safe and easy to use. Our backpacks and supplies average a cost of $15 per child. A one-time contribution of $75 will support 5 children.

A single one time contribution is available through the form below. Only if you so choose, on the form below, you may make your donation monthly for the next 12 months.
